RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. — Residents who regularly attend or watch City Council and Planning Commission meetings should take note of an important schedule change.

The City of Rancho Cucamonga has officially implemented new start times for both City Council and Planning Commission meetings, with all regular meetings now beginning at 6:00 p.m. The change is intended to provide a consistent meeting schedule while continuing to encourage public participation in local government.  

The new schedule took effect in July 2026, with Planning Commission meetings beginning at 6:00 p.m. starting July 8, followed by City Council meetings adopting the new 6:00 p.m. start time beginning July 15.  

While the start times have changed, the meeting schedule remains the same:

• City Council: First and third Wednesdays of each month
• Planning Commission: Second and fourth Wednesdays of each month  

The City is encouraging residents to review meeting agendas before each session, attend meetings in person, or participate by watching the live broadcasts or archived recordings available online. Public meetings provide community members with opportunities to stay informed, offer comments on agenda items, and engage in decisions that affect neighborhoods, development, public safety, infrastructure, and city services.  

City officials also noted that the July 1 and August 5 City Council meetings were canceled as part of the 2026 meeting calendar, making it especially important for residents to verify meeting dates and agendas before attending.
