The Rancho Cucamonga business community is preparing for an evening of wine, food, entertainment and networking as the Rancho Cucamonga Chamber of Commerce celebrates the 30th anniversary of its Hollywood & Vines Vintners Celebration.

The milestone event will take place Friday, November 6, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the Ontario Convention Center.

This year’s theme brings together Old Hollywood glamour and the Cucamonga Valley’s rich winemaking heritage, creating an elegant backdrop for one of the region’s signature business and community gatherings.

Wine, Food, Music and Connections

Guests can expect an evening designed for both enjoyment and connection. The celebration is scheduled to feature curated wine, craft beer and small-bite pairings, along with participation from local wineries, breweries and favorite area restaurants.

Live music and dancing will add to the festivities, while business networking will give attendees an opportunity to connect with entrepreneurs, professionals, community leaders and organizations from throughout Rancho Cucamonga and the surrounding region.

Guests are encouraged to embrace the evening’s Old Hollywood glamour attire and make the celebration part networking event, part night on the town.

Brandon Andrade Makes the Most of His Opportunity With Career Night for Etiwanda

ETIWANDA, CA — September 5, 2026 — Sometimes all a player needs is an opportunity.

After seeing practically no opportunities during Etiwanda High School’s first two games of the season, wide receiver Brandon Andrade entered Friday night’s matchup against Alta Loma with something to prove.

He proved it in a big way.

Andrade delivered the best game of his high school career, turning six targets into six catches for approximately 130 yards and two touchdowns as Etiwanda rolled to a 34-7 victory over Alta Loma.

It was the kind of performance that sends a simple message:

Get Brandon Andrade the football, and he can help you win.

From Few Opportunities to a Breakout Night

The performance becomes even more significant when considering how the season began for Andrade.

Through Etiwanda’s first two games, he had received practically no opportunities to demonstrate what he could contribute offensively. After a conversation with his coach, that changed against Alta Loma.

Andrade was targeted six times.

He caught all six.

And when his number was called, he didn’t simply make routine catches—he produced explosive plays and touchdowns.

His two trips to the end zone helped Etiwanda take command of the game and provided a glimpse of what the Eagles’ offense can look like when Andrade is involved.

A 100-percent catch rate, roughly 130 receiving yards and two touchdowns represents more than an impressive stat line. It demonstrates reliability.

Quarterbacks need receivers they can trust. Coaches need playmakers who capitalize on opportunities. Teams need athletes capable of changing a game.

On Friday night, Andrade showed he can be all three.

Opportunity Met Preparation

There is another part of Andrade’s performance that won’t necessarily appear in the box score.

He was ready.

It would have been easy for a young athlete to become discouraged after receiving so few opportunities during the first two games. Instead, Andrade stayed prepared for the moment when his number would finally be called.

When it came, he delivered the biggest performance of his high school career.

That’s what makes this game important beyond one Friday night.

The question now isn’t simply whether Andrade can produce.

He just showed that he can.

The question becomes what happens when Etiwanda continues giving one of its playmakers opportunities to make plays.

Norco Is Next

There won’t be much time to celebrate.

Etiwanda returns to action Thursday against Norco, giving Andrade and the Eagles another opportunity to build on the momentum created against Alta Loma.

Norco will present another challenge, but Andrade enters Thursday’s matchup with something he didn’t have before Friday night—a breakout performance that showed exactly what he can do when given the opportunity.

Six targets. Six catches. Approximately 130 yards. Two touchdowns.

The best game of Brandon Andrade’s high school career.

And perhaps only the beginning.

Youth Athlete Spotlight: Brandon Andrade Caps Off Historic Junior Season

In a state known for producing some of the nation’s most elite high school athletes, Etiwanda High School’s Brandon Andrade has established himself as one of California’s most remarkable multi-event competitors.

As the 2026 track and field season comes to a close, Andrade leaves behind a résumé that few athletes in state history can match.

The junior standout dominated the Baseline League, capturing league championships in the 110-meter hurdles, 300-meter hurdles, and long jump while also placing sixth in the highly competitive 100-meter dash.

At the prestigious CIF Masters Meet, Andrade finished runner-up in both the 110-meter and 300-meter hurdles, securing his place among the state’s elite athletes and advancing to the California State Championships.

Competing against the very best in California, Andrade delivered impressive performances at the CIF State Meet, placing fourth in the 110-meter hurdles and fifth in the 300-meter hurdles.

What makes Andrade’s season especially remarkable is his extraordinary versatility.

His success continued into the postseason, where he claimed the CIF Southern Section Division 1 Championship in both hurdle events. Andrade set a Division 1 Championship record in the 110-meter hurdles while also earning a third-place finish in the 100-meter dash against some of California’s fastest sprinters.

By season’s end, he was ranked among California’s top athletes in five separate events:

• #4 in California – 110 Meter Hurdles (13.53)
• #3 in California – 300 Meter Hurdles (36.63)
• #3 in California – Long Jump (24’4”)
• #18 in California – 100 Meter Dash (10.44)
• #35 in California – 200 Meter Dash (21.19)

According to longtime track observers, it is extraordinarily rare for an athlete to rank among California’s Top 35 competitors in even two events. Andrade achieved that distinction in five separate disciplines, showcasing a combination of speed, explosiveness, athleticism, and technical skill seldom seen at the high school level.

His accomplishments have earned statewide recognition, including rankings among California’s elite sprinters and jumpers, as well as media coverage highlighting him as one of the state’s premier hurdle specialists. Earlier this season, Andrade was featured in the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin under the headline, “He Can Do It All,” a fitting description of an athlete whose versatility continues to set him apart.

While the track season may be over, Andrade’s athletic journey is far from finished.

Now turning his focus to football season, the Etiwanda standout carries with him the support of teammates, coaches, family members, and fans who have followed his incredible journey throughout the year.

Brandon expressed his gratitude to everyone who has encouraged and supported him throughout the season.

One thing is certain: California has not seen the last of Brandon Andrade.

Johnny O’s is open and awesome for breakfast and lunch in Rancho Cucamonga

This Friday, we hit the road to the Inland Empire to check out a no-frills, family-owned restaurant in Rancho Cucamonga.

Welcome to Johnny O’s, located in the Vineyards Marketplace shopping center.

When the 2008 recession hit, owner John Ortega, who most here know as Johnny O, said he and his family decided to start a business of their own.

They say they’ve been “open and awesome” since 2014, serving all your breakfast and lunch classics.

The strawberry French toast is a hit, and big breakfast sandwiches and bacon burritos keep locals coming back for a hot meal.

“I come here at least twice a week, if not more,” Tonya Bethley, a regular customer, said. “They’re so friendly. They’re so warm and welcoming to anyone that comes in.”

The menu also boasts potatoes loaded with bacon and cheese and delicious Cajun hot links and home fries.

Ortega said they put the focus on the food, with a mission to serve quality and filling meals that everyone in their community can enjoy.

“We wouldn’t be here without the community,” Ortega said. “Local families, customers, communities, schools, fire department, police department. All these guys that helped us and COVID and everything else, they’re a pillar for us.”

Most dishes, including mouth-watering pancakes and homemade biscuits and gravy, are under $20.

Johnny O’s in Rancho Cucamonga is open Tuesday through Sunday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

“To be honest, it’s humbling,” Ortega said. “I’m glad that people reach out and enjoy what we do. I put a lot of effort into it, a lot of hard work.”
